Turning
We offer CNC turning with fourth axis
functionality up to 250mmØ. The jewel in the crown is
the Nakamura
TW20 Lathe/Mill with driven tooling, twin chuck, twin turret and
bar feed. Combined with the functionality of the
Cincinnati Milacron Falcon 200 Turning Center we
are able to satisfy demand for both 1 off prototypes and production
runs up to 5000 off.
Bar
Feed
The Nakamura
TW20 Lathe/Mill is equipped with a 2.5m
multi-feed with magazine which allows for large production
runs as well as unattended overnight machining of bar components
up to 192mm long and 51mmØ.
Twin
Chuck
The twin chuck opposed spindle set
up allows for both a faster throughput and one hit production
of both ends of the component. Which twin 24 tool stations,
complex operations can be carried out on both spindles,
saving time and reducing costs.
4th
Axis Lathe Turning
The Nakamura
TW20 Lathe/Mill also offers a Y-axis milling
head, further extending the complexity of the one hit machining
capability.
Materials
We have over 10 years experience in the
machining of small to medium sized billets of traditional metals
such as mild steel, bright steel and stainless steel, as well
as more exotic alloys including magnetic steels, hardened steel
and electronics grade aluminium alloys and take great care
to machine materials in accordance with suppliers instructions.
Tooling
To compliment our superb range of machinery,
highly skilled staff and quality control process we use the
best tooling from a wide range of leading tool suppliers. Whatever
the job requires, be it HSS, Solid Carbide, or specialist insert
tips, we have the tool for your job and the support to get
it right.
